TheFieldOpsGuide is an independent review site for field service management software. We explain exactly how we evaluate vendors, how we handle pricing data, and what our affiliate relationships mean for you.
Independent Research, Explained
We research and compare field service management software for tradespeople — HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, landscapers, cleaners, and pest control operators. Our goal is to give small business owners the same quality of analysis they'd get from a professional consultant, without the consulting fee.
We do not accept payment for rankings, reviews, or editorial placement. Vendor position in our guides reflects our independent judgment about fit for the use case being described, not payment.
How We Verify Pricing
Jobber, Housecall Pro, Service Fusion, and Synchroteam publish their pricing publicly. We record pricing from their public pricing pages and note the date. These figures are labeled 'verified' throughout the site.
ServiceTitan and FieldEdge do not publish pricing on their websites. Figures for these vendors are based on third-party reports, user-submitted data on G2 and Reddit, and industry sources. They are always labeled 'estimate' and should be verified directly with the vendor.
Our most recent pricing check was September 2026. Software pricing changes frequently. Always verify current pricing on the vendor's site before making a purchasing decision.
Affiliate Relationships
We participate in affiliate programs for some vendors we review, including Jobber (PartnerStack), Housecall Pro (PartnerStack), ServiceTitan, FieldEdge, and Service Fusion. This means we may earn a commission if you sign up through a link on this site.
Affiliate status does not affect our rankings or editorial content. We cover vendors whether or not they have affiliate programs, and we include weaknesses and criticisms even for vendors where we earn commissions. Our full disclosure page has more detail.
